Flats Craft has dramatically changed my results on the local Permit and Tuskfish population since they have come out. I am confident to tie these on first, even while still at the dock.. They are candy for fish on my flats... Fish just eat them!! I cant see myself using anything else in the future, I highly recommended flies tied with Flats Craft !!
I've been using Flats Craft products for my own fishing and for clients going on 2 years. The Standing Claw Moon Crab is my preference, they match the Moon Crab on the flats here in the Hinchinbrook / Whitsundays perfectly. The ease of casting makes it more enjoyable for my clients to put the fly where it needs to be. Being fast to tie, realistic with the correct hydrodynamics, I'll be fishing these with confidence for years to come.
Started using the Gav's Crab and the Mutineer with Flats Craft legs in March 22. Since then between myself and my clients my boat has landed 46 Permit. This from an area that until I showed my local Permit population the Gav's Crab and the Mutineer, was considered a fools errand to guide at. The fly has changed everything, I have put many people onto both their first Permit and PB Permit and I can say that fly has made a huge difference compared to the numbers before the fly was available.
